Great spot! 🌳 the standard queen room we had gave us direct access to the lovely garden, which was just what we needed. Plus, being only a minute's drive from the ferry port was super convenient.

We stayed here overnight so that we could catch the early morning ferry. The hotel was basic, but very clean, comfortable and friendly. We would certainly be happy to stay here again for an overnight stay
The side door of the hotel is left open overnight as the reception is only manned from 8am till 8pm

The location was great, a short walk from the beach. There were local supermarkets and supermarkets around the hotel.

We got a spacious standard queen room with a terrace where we could enjoy some fresh air. Plus, we had the option to set up a wake-up call, which was super convenient! ⏰.

This hotel was good for the price. The breakfast was good value too. The gentleman at reception was very helpful too. No problems recommending this hotel.

Location, close to beach, and not any beach, but WW 11 beach was stunning. We enjoyed the history and beach scenery of the hotel's location.

Located near a ferry port, this place is in a fantastic location close to charming villages for dining, with a bar called Holsteins just a 5-minute walk away for drinks.

Nice large family room. Across the road from the beach and close to the busy port with a wide range of restaurants. Ideal if you are interested in the history of the 2nd world war.
It would have been nice to have the option of an evening meal after a long day travelling.

Good location and friendly staff
A room was advertised as for 4/5. I mentioned in my booking notes that I wanted it for 5 but it wasn't prepared for 5 as I hadn't asked for the extra bed. It was not clear that you would need an extra bed if you wanted the "5" bed option. Should be made more clear

The most uncomfortable hotel bedroom I have ever stayed in. Horrible plastic sheets on the matresses. Rough thick heavy blankets lumpy pillows. Yuk yuk yuk. We could hear doors slamming and people comming and going All through the night. I could even hear sombody snorring from across the corridoor. We found rubbish under the beds and the whole place was scuffy and extreemly basic with no effort or thought put in to a family room. The windows were a parents nightmare, very low and no lock. Easy for a child to open and fall out. We ordered a cot bed which was just dumped in our room, un assembled. No matress, we had to create a matress form folded up towels and sheets. The shower dribbled. Hated All of it. As for the hotelier, rude, cocky, un helpful, sarcastic, dismissive and arrogant. To make things 100% worse, there was a problem with our booking and we ended up having to pay twice. There was a sour taste left in the mouth afer this hotel stay, thats for sure.... And it wasnt the camembert!

The hotel was very near a beach.
It looks only a B&B. I could use wifi only near reception. (not in my room)
